Abstract: Coin tossing can lead, via random walk and scaling limit, to Brownian motion, but it can also lead to percolation and its full scaling limit (a "gas" of loops). The latter case is much more complicated that the former. Several intermediate cases (random walks in non-commutative semigroups, stochastic flows, oriented ! percolation) will be discussed in a new general framework.
