Recent Developments in Bayesian Reliability

Abstract: In the talk we illustrate methods and problems the author has considered in the last few years. The motivating case studies are gas escapes in a city network, mechanical failures in subway trains, possible introduction of new bugs during software testing and corrosion of cylinder liners in ship Diesel engines. The entertained models are non-homogeneous Poisson processes, self-exciting processes, hidden Markov models and diffusions.
