Abstract: In many situations, differential equations have coefficients that are highly oscillatory functions. This often arises because of rescaling . One is interested in the behavior of the solutions after rescaling. The limit usually satisfies a similar differential equation which is homogeneous in the space variables. The problem is to prove it and identify the equation. We will study examples of different types.
