Medical Reimbursement Rules

Indoor treatment

All regular employees of the Institute are covered by a Group Mediclaim Insurance Policy, which is a Rs. 5 lakh family floater insurance for indoor treatment (requiring hospitalization). Details are available here.

Outdoor treatment

The Institute workers are governed by CS(MA) rules. For O.P.D. treatment at ISI Delhi, two panel doctors visit the campus regularly. Their visiting times are as follows:

In addition, workers and their dependent family members may consult any other doctor/specialist. Along with reimbursement form to be filled by the worker, prescription, cash memo and receipt for fees paid to the doctor should be attached. The reimbursement is made on monthly basis against their medical claim. All the claim should be submitted within 90 days. Some medicines manufactured/marketed as food supplement, cosmetics and ayurvedic preparation prescribed by allopathic doctors are inadmissible.

Tests

The rates towards reimbursement for a single pathological, bacteriological, radiological or other similar tests be made up to Rs. 1500/-. In case the expense for any such test is likely to exceed Rs. 1500/- prior approval of the Head, Delhi Centre should be obtained.

Tie-ups

The Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science and Research provides discounts in consultation fees as well as pathology charges. Rockland Hospital charges CGHS rates + 30% more.

Dr. Lal Path Labs charges CGHS rates on cash basis (circular).
