Satya P. Das received his Ph.D. in 1977 from Southern Methodist University and joined the Planning Unit Faculty in 1995. 

His areas of interests are International Trade and Finance, and Macroeconomics. He teaches courses in Micro Theory, Macro Theory, International Trade, and Macro Dynamics.
