We are looking for outstanding faculty in all disciplines of economics, and at all positions (assistant, associate, and full professorships). Fresh Ph.D's can apply for a three year visiting post-doc position, although the availability of these positions is subject to office space and faculty complementarities. The Planning Unit provides a highly stimulating environment for both theoretical and empirical research in economics. We are routinely ranked as the best departments of economics in the country, and one of the best in the Asia-Pacific region. The Institute's salary and other benefits are comparable to IITs and IIMs. Faculty are provided in-campus housing (subject to availability). Besides research, the faculty teaches at masters and Ph.D. levels only. There is no undergraduate teaching. Class sizes are small.
