Abstract: We discuss some results of the travelling salesman problem on randomly placed points in the unit cube. We also introduce the greedy salesman and show that it approximates the travelling salesman problem. In addition we present an open problem regarding the points covered by the greedy salesman in $\mathbb R^d$.
