Aparajita Dasgupta

 Assistant Professor

Aparajita Dasgupta is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Ashoka University. An applied microeconomist by training, she holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Riverside. Her research interests are in the intersection of development, health, gender, environment and labor economics. Her research contributes to the growing literature on the dynamics of human capital formation, where she is interested to understand the causal linkages between early environment and later life outcomes (health, fertility, cognition, schooling, labour market outcomes). Aparajita has published in Economic Development and Cultural Change, Economics Letters, IZA Journal of Development and Migration, Oxford Economic Papers, Review of Development Economics, The Journal of Development Studies, amongst others.
