Business analytics is a discipline that uses specialized techniques and tools to gather information, organize data and interpret it to support business decision making. This new integrated course combines business analytic skills with the Six Sigma methodology to improve processes and make data-driven decisions. This approach provides a comprehensive and disciplined model for improvement, that leads to significant reduction or elimination of defective and out of control processes. It allows professionals from service industry and manufacturing industry to make use of data  analytic skills, to improve  sigma value, operational efficiency and increased profitability.  The key features of this course is that it combines  concepts, tools and techniques used in business analytics, statistical data mining, six sigma. The skills gained in this course will help  the participants to be equipped with more data  analytic skills . This will be useful in various six sigma projects.

Batch Size: Total number of seats (max): 50 (on first come first served basis)

Certification Criteria: Minimum marks (%) to be obtained in the examination: Theory 60% and Project 60%

Course Coverage

Introduction to business analytics and concepts of statistical / machine learning / analytics problems, Developing a Predictive Business Analytics Function,  Introduction, Basic Concepts and Visual Analytics using R, basic statistics, Graphs and Charts for data visualization, Relevance and importance of Six Sigma, Sampling Concept and Methods, Probability and Distributions, understanding normal distribution, brief introduction to some useful distributions, probability computations, estimation, confidence interval and Hypothesis Testing,  Analysis of variance, time series,  Prediction Modelling through Regression, statistical data mining.

Duration : 3 days

Timings: 10 am to 5:30 pm

Examination: Online after one month (to be announced during the course).

Participants Profile: Bachelor's degree with knowledge of mathematics/ statistics (10+2) level  or Bachelor's degree with Six Sigma green belt certificate or BE/B Tech degree or MBA

Course Fee: Rs 17, 000+ + (GST 18%)= Total Rs 20,060/- per participant (inclusive of   Lecture Material, Lunch & Refreshment).  Course fee once deposited is non-refundable/non-transferable.
