Each of these datasets represent a binary classification problem. For your practical, perform the following analyses and summarize your results. You have 30 minutes each for a presentation in class (on April 19 and 21).
Your presentation should include a description of the data, as well as a summary of the choices you made during the analyses.
Wherever relevant, perform 5-fold cross-validation and 10-fold cross-validation for model selection (i.e., choice of tuning parameter). For the selected model, use leave-one-out cross-validation and 5-fold cross-validation for error-rate estimation (repeat the 5-fold cross-validation process 10 times to assess variability of the error-rate estimate).
