Title: Modelling and Analysis of Recurrent event Data with Multiple Causes
Abstract of Talk
A large amount of literature has built up on the analysis of recurrent event data. Studies in biomedical science involve repeated occurrence of certain events with multiple causes or different modes of failure. In this talk, we discuss some basic concepts used in survival analysis. Then we discuss regression problem for gap time distributions of recurrent events with multiple causes. We employ counting process approach for the estimation of parameter vector and cumulative baseline cause specific hazard functions. The proposed method is applied to a real data set. A simulation study is carried out to assess the finite sample properties of the estimates.
