Currently Ridhima is a casual academic at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. She has worked as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Economics at the South Asian University till December 2023. Her specialization is environmental economics and agricultural economics.
Her recent research topics include estimating the effects of pollution on congestion in Indian cities and measuring the impact of climate change on worker absenteeism. Her past research has been published in Science, Climatic Change, World Development and is covered in popular media such as The Huffington Post. She is a member of Centre for Research on the Economics of Climate, Food, Energy and Environment (CECFEE) and the Indian Society for Ecological Economics (INSEE).
She has completed her PhD. in Economics from Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi in 2015.
