Tanu Gupta is a Lecturer in Economics, University of Southampton, Delhi. Prior to this she was at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Delhi Centre as a Visiting Assistant Professor.
She has a Ph.D. from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai , and holds a master’s degree in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi. Her main research areas are Development Economics, Gender Economics, Labour Economics, Gender Economics, Food And Nutrition, Health and Sanitation, and Applied Econometrics. She is currently involved in research on the impacts of air pollution on labor supply and time use allocation.
She has received King Climate Action Initiative (KCAI) JPAL research grant (2023-2024) and University of Pennsylvania Institute for the Advanced Study of India (UPIASI), 2022
She has been awarded Visiting Research Scholar fellowship at UNU-WIDER.
