Anshuman Tiwari is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago and an Assistant Professor of Economics at Ashoka University. He previously served as an Environmental Defense Fund Fellow at the Environmental Markets Lab, University of California, Santa Barbara, and completed his PhD at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he was a Grantham Research Institute Fellow.
His research lies at the intersection of environmental and development economics, focusing on climate change, pollution, groundwater depletion, and economic growth in developing countries. He uses geospatial and administrative data, machine learning, and causal inference methods to study environmental and policy challenges.
