Position Overview

CECFEE is looking for a Communications Coordinator to help increase the visibility and impact of the Centre’s research and policy work. The role involves creating and managing communication strategies, working with the media, handling digital content, and sharing our publications with a wider audience.

The Coordinator will also write clear and engaging content, such as policy briefs, op-eds, blogs, and newsletters, and help plan and promote events, including workshops, seminars, and webinars, to connect with academic, policy, and public audiences.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in communication roles, preferably in a research, policy, or academic environment.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong ability to communicate technical content to non-specialist audiences.
  • Experience with media engagement and digital communications.
  • Familiarity with economic or policy research is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress), design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe), and social media platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
