Tanu Gupta

Assistant Visiting Professor

Tanu Gupta is a visiting Assistant Professor in the Centre for Research on Economics of Climate, Food, Energy and Environment (CECFEE), Economics and Planning Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi. Her research interests are in gender economics, labor economics, food and nutrition, development economics, and applied econometrics. Prior to joining ISI, she worked as a Consultant with the University of Pennsylvania Institute for the Advanced Study of India (UPIASI). Her doctoral research primarily studies the impact of social and cultural norms on women’s education and labor market outcomes. She is a Ph.D. from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research and holds a master’s degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics.
