Hiring Research Assistants

 

Role: We are seeking two highly motivated Research Assistants to join our team. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in assisting with various aspects of the research process, including data collection, analysis, programming, and administrative tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in academic research within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities of the Position

    • Conduct literature reviews, assist in experimental design, and contribute to research methodology development.
    • Collect, organize, and analyze research data using appropriate statistical and computational techniques.
    • Develop and maintain software tools, scripts, or algorithms to support research projects.
    • Work closely with team members to ensure seamless coordination and communication during the research process.
    • Assist in writing research papers, reports, or grant proposals
    • Assist in organizing workshops/conferences and other administrative tasks as required.

Background and Qualifications:

Educational

        • Master’s degree in Economics or related field.

Desirable skills

          • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in research.
          • Strong quantitative research skills with knowledge in data analysis and statistical software(such as R, STATA etc.).
          • Proficiency in writing technical reports, research proposals, and scientific papers following standard formatting and citation styles.
          • Conducting literature reviews and synthesizing research findings.
          • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and meet project deadlines.
          • Willingness to learn new concepts, methodologies, and technologies relevant to the research domain, as well as the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements.

Hiring Research Assistants for Nutrition and Micronutrient Analysis

Role: We are seeking two highly motivated Research Assistants to join our team for a donor funded project focused on the comprehensive analysis of multiple datasets such as the National Family Health Survey (NFHS), Comprehensive National Nutrition Survey (CNNS), Annual Health Survey (AHS), Rapid Survey on Children (RSOC), National Nutrition Monitoring Bureau (NNMB), and an initial survey of all nutrition and micronutrient-related research in India published in peer-reviewed journals. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in extracting, analyzing, and synthesizing data to derive meaningful insights that will contribute to informing policies and interventions aimed at improving nutritional outcomes in India.
Duration: The initial contract will be for 10 months, and will be extended based on satisfactory performance.

Report to: Dr Mudit Kapoor and Dr. Gaurav Dhamija.

        • Collaborate with the research team to design methodologies for data analysis
        • Create concise reports, presentations, and visualizations highlighting key data insights.
