Title: Hypergraph Turan Problems and Shadows
Abstract of Talk
I will describe a new method to solve degenerate hypergraph Turan problems. The method involves analyzing the shadow of a hypergraph, random sampling, and canonical Ramsey theory. Recent successes include determining the Turan number of expansions of paths, cycles, forests, and some bipartite graphs. This is joint work with Sasha Kostochka and Jacques Verstraete.
