Siegel zeroes are sporadic, supposedly inexistant, zeroes of Dirichlet L functions. Current methods seem ineffective in proving there to be none; on the other hand, were we to suppose that they did exist, a number of classical problems about primes would become tractable. This talk will be about joint work with J. Maynard where we study the effect of such zeroes on sums of Kloosterman sums over primes : \sum_{p\leq x} Kl(1, p).
