Title: A new parametrization of quantum gaussian states and some applications
Abstract of Talk
Quantum gaussian states are noncommutative analogues of normal distributions in classical probability. Traditionally, a gaussian state ona finite mode Boson Fock space is parametrized by its mean vector and covariance matrix. We introduce a new parametrization of gaussian states, using the matrix entries in the continuous basis of exponential vectors. We will discuss some consequences and properties of this new parametrization, including a hierarchy of completely entangled pure gaussian states and a measure of entanglement for pure gaussian states. This is joint work with K. R. Parthasarathy.
